Circus skills, hands on
A Cirque Amongus workshop brings the circus to you. Participants rotate through skill stations in small groups — juggling, tightwire, balance, german wheel, acrobatics and more — with quick demonstrations followed by hands-on instruction and plenty of time to experiment.
Everyone starts from the same point, so nobody is more experienced than anybody else. Practicing circus skills is non-competitive and creative: there is always more to learn, and the longer you try, the better you get.
Where we run workshops
- At your school — a single classroom, a grade level or the whole building, in the gym, cafeteria or schoolyard.
- At your preschool — with equipment specifically sized and adapted for the smallest students. See Preschool Circus.
- At your venue or event — festivals, libraries, camps, church groups, scouts, company events and family days.
- At our activity center — groups of up to 30 at our Livonia, MI space.
How it works
Workshops are fully flexible in length and group size. Each station has an adult station boss for instruction and safety; we provide the instructors and all equipment. Add a performance by our project managers, or finish with a short show by the participants themselves — costumes, makeup and music included.
Requirements
Room for participants to move around, and roughly 1 adult per 10 students. Everything else comes with us.
